The All Canada Show is a premier gathering of Canadian fishing outfitters and outdoor enthusiasts, held annually at the Kane County Fairgrounds in St. Charles, Illinois. This year’s event runs January 29 – February 1, 2026, bringing together anglers from across North America to plan their next wilderness fishing adventure.

What Is the All Canada Show?

The All Canada Show, also known as one of the biggest Canadian fishing trade events in the Midwest, is a four-day expo where fishing lodges, outfitters, and guides connect directly with anglers. For over three decades, this event has served as the primary planning hub for Canadian fly-in fishing trips, remote lake vacations, and wilderness adventures.

Every January, we make the journey from Nestor Falls, Ontario to St. Charles — trading frozen lakes and snow-covered cabins for the busy aisles where fishing dreams come to life under one roof.

Why Do Outfitters Travel to the All Canada Show?

The All Canada Show isn’t just another trade event — it’s where relationships are built and adventures begin. For us, it offers three key benefits:

  1. Face-to-face connections with both returning guests and first-time visitors
  2. Direct answers to questions about lodge amenities, fishing conditions, and availability
  3. Exclusive show offers for early spring 2026 bookings

Every handshake and story swapped across a booth table reminds me why I love this work. We’ll have maps ready, lodge photos, and details about what’s new at our operation for the coming season.

The packing list looks different than it does for a fly-in trip.

Boats, outpost cabins and floatplanes stay behind, but the passion for fishing travels with us. It’s always a fun puzzle loading everything up for the 600+ mile journey south.

What Does the Drive from Nestor Falls to Chicago Look Like?

Our team heads out early next week — coffee thermoses full, truck loaded, and GPS set for St. Charles. The route takes us through:

  • Lake country roads winding through northwestern Ontario
  • Quiet border crossings between Canada and the United States
  • Forests and frozen landscapes of northern Minnesota and Wisconsin
  • Midwest highways as city lights replace wilderness darkness

Each stretch brings us closer to reconnecting with those who share our passion for wilderness fishing.

When Does Spring Fishing Season Start in Nestor Falls?

Months before spring fishing season hits, while snow piles high around Nestor Falls, we start packing for this annual sport show tradition. Late January represents the kind of winter beauty that defines the Canadian north.

Traveling to the shows during winter season can be tricky, but the All Canada Show offers something equally valuable — the chance to share that northern experience with hundreds of anglers who are dreaming about their their summer adventures as much as we are.

Should You Visit Our Booth at the All Canada Show?

If you’ll be at the show January 29 – February 1, absolutely stop by our booth. Whether you’re a returning guest or exploring Canadian fishing for the first time, we’d love to:

  • Discuss current lake conditions and fish populations
  • Review spring 2026 availability and booking options
  • Share updates on lodge improvements and amenities
  • Swap fish stories that never get old
  • Answer questions about fly-in fishing logistics

It’s amazing to see how many returning guests stop by just to say hello and start planning their next trip north.

Every handshake, every review on our Google Business Page, and every story swapped across a booth table reminds me why I love this work.

What New Planning Tools Are We Releasing at the Show?

This season, we’re not just talking about our amazing remote fishing. We’ll have maps ready, lodge photos, and details about what’s new at our operation for the coming season.

We’re releasing three new planning tools that help groups save money, pack better, and create trips people talk about for years:

group fishing trip packing and meal planning list four person to eight people

1. Practical Fly-In Checklists
It may seem like weight limits force hard choices. But after decades of flying guests, here’s what we’ve learned: We’re introducing practical checklists built for real fly-in trips — designed to help groups share gear, spread weight properly, and bring more of what actually matters.

2. Group Dynamics Guide
Some trips are fun. Others become core family stories everyone keeps telling. There’s one thing we’ve seen over and over again that improves group dynamics — improved connections, shared meals, better pictures and videos — the things that turn a fishing trip into a reunion. It’s so simple and we can’t wait to share at the show.

3. Trip Planning Resources
Simple checklists. Proven logic. Designed to make good trips noticeably better. These tools are built from real fly-in experience and help groups travel smarter from the moment they start packing.

How Has Our Lodge Been Featured in Media?

We were happy to be featured on an episode of Minnesota Bound in July of 2025. The segment showcases what makes Canadian fly-in fishing such a unique experience and highlights our approach to remote wilderness adventures.
